CultureSHOCK! is my first foray into drawing comic strips back in second year of college and submitted to the Ka Leo o Hawaii - the University of Hawaii student newspaper. It ran irregularly in the Ka Leo from Spring 1998 to Fall 1999. Stories ranged from personal experiences to things observed/overheard from people around me.
I was also the 1999 Charles M. Schulz Award for College Cartooning recipient and had the opportunity to go to Cincinnati, Ohio to attend the awards ceremony that Spring, courtesy of the Scripps-Howard Foundation.
