In progress

After ages of being on the back burner, I’m finally making decent progress with my short story comic. It’s more of an opportunity to get to know the characters and get a better feel for drawing them so we can develop their larger story down the line. I’m also not used to inking so much black clothes (can you tell??), but these are my digital drafts, so there’s room for improvement down the line.
As a side note, I intended to draw the entire thing on my iPad with Clip Studio for the iPad, but fixing lettering and fiddling with details is not as efficient as the desktop version - especially when I need to make a lot of minor edits as I rework pages. Hopefully it’ll get better with time since it’s subscription based and updates are more regular. 🤞

Hurricane Lane Prep

Just in case the power goes out, spending the morning using up some of the ingredients in the fridge to make stews and chilis that’ll reheat well. Extra rice is a must.
Now to figure out what to do with all the fruit I got this past weekend...

So... Hurricane Lane is on its way here and the one chance I had to pick up supplies this morning -- I got a coffee grinder on sale.

I've got -my- priorities straight... -headdesk-

My best (FGO) girl is being reissued ~ ♥

Interestingly enough, the game has been kind enough to issue me both Jeanne & Jeanne Alter and I can't imagine making it thru some of the bosses without them. (★_★)

Some remote work tips from John Bintz. I really like the pocket tag with your essentials checklist! I need to do this for event packing;;

Page 2!

Finally made it to page 2 of my checksheet for flatting! 46 pages or so to go! 💪✍️
Now to break and work on my own stuff for the rest of the week!

Woo-- finished flatting 4 comic pages today and finally hit the 200s. Only 8 more to clear this month's allotment... though looking ahead at September's allotment.. I wonder if I should get an early start on those. They're pretty intense on the details. o_o

This article about sitting is so relevant to my life right now… Been dealing with a torn, slipped disk and arthritis in my lower back for about 5 years now which makes sitting a real pain in the butt. I'm curious why it is Americans bend with the waist versus the hips?

Zombie dog

Poor thing- sleeps with her eyes kinda open.

Ahoy! Going to give micro.blog a go. If all goes well, this’ll be my new way of blogging. So to speak.
