Soo.. Monday I was diagnosed with shingles. Because it started on my shoulder blade after an afternoon workout, I thought I had just overdone things. When it moved down my inner arm, I thought it was chafing. When little bumps started appearing, I thought it was a side effect of a medication I was taking. Finally, I went to the doctor and here we are. ;;;
All in all, I'm managing as best I can. I'm on anti-viral meds, so hopefully it'll shorten the span/severity of the episode. -crossing fingers-

As a side note, I'm really surprised just how many people have gotten shingles! Apparently the virus resides in your nervous system after getting chicken pox and can activate at any time for any reason. The vaccine these days covers both chicken pox -and- shingles, so wow - kids are lucky if they don't have to go thru this. :\
